Essential kickball rules every player and fan should know. For complete rules and regulations, please refer to the full rulebook.
Games last 7 innings or 50 minutes, with no new inning starting after 45 minutes.
Game ends if there is a 10 run difference after 5 innings.
Regular season games can end in a tie. In playoffs, once 45 minutes or 7 innings is reached, overtime begins with the last person out placed on 2nd base and defense removes one male player from the field.
Maximum run differential of 10 runs per game is recorded (Example: 19-2 win is recorded as 12-2).
Maximum of 2 subs from current league teams allowed with opposing captain approval and referee notification. Violation results in forfeit. Players who leave cannot re-enter the game.
3 strikes/fouls result in an out. Fouls count as strikes. Count starts at 0-0 and 3 outs end a half inning.
4 balls is a walk. If 4 straight balls occur without a foul/strike, kicker advances to 2nd base regardless of next kicker's gender or number of baserunners.
Minimum 4 female and maximum 6 male players in defensive field. One out taken for each player less than 10 in lineup regardless of gender.
Home and Away teams are pre-determined in schedule, no Rock, Paper, Scissors used.
Defensive positions can be rotated anytime except pitcher and catcher, which are limited to once per inning.
Pitch must bounce minimum three times before crossing plate. No restrictions on delivery method - overhand, underhand, spinning or bouncing allowed in all divisions.
Male kicks/bunts must reach 1st to 3rd baseline to be fair, unless fielder plays ball in motion before line.
No minimum bunt line restriction for female players.
No restrictions on kicking lineup order. No limit on consecutive male or female kickers. All players must be in kicking lineup but aren't required to play field.
Any part of kicker's plant foot over the horizontal line of front of home plate is a foul.
